Welcome to our Blog!

Welcome to Super Rhino’s and Clever Dragons shared class blog. We have set up a class ‘Blog’ online. A ‘Blog’ is a frequently updated journal which you can access at home. We think this is an excellent opportunity for all of the children in our grades to share the learning experiences from school with their families. It will also be a wonderful way of communicating with parents by keeping you up to date with things that are happening within the classroom and upcoming events for our grade and whole school activities.

If you would like your child to be involved, all you have to do is sign the permission slip that has been sent home with your child and return it to their teacher. You will be issued with a web address which will give you access to our web blog from home. The blog is not a publicly listed page on the internet. No general searches will identify the page. It can only be accessed by typing in the exact address. However, it is possible that it may be ‘stumbled upon’ by the general public.

When you view our blog you are also given the opportunity to provide us with feedback by ‘posting a comment’. To post a comment on the page you will have to log in and all comments have to be approved by your classroom teacher before they will be published on the page. We will then share these comments with the grade. You can make suggestions about what you would like to see included on our blog or tell us what you liked about it.

We will be putting work samples on our blog and would also love to publish photos of the children at work in the classroom (of course only students with permission to have their photos published will be included).

When publishing children’s work we will only type their first name so that they are not able to be identified by the wider community. We would love for every one to participate in this wonderful opportunity to connect the classroom to you at home. If you have any questions about our class ‘Blog’ or if you would like any additional information please come and see us and we would be happy to explain it further.
